This conductive sealant is designed for aircraft applications, providing corrosion resistance and maintaining electrical continuity in high-stress environments. It withstands temperatures from -67 to 250°F, with short-term exposure up to 275°F. The two-part polysulfide compound is easy to apply and cures to form a durable, adhesive seal. This conductive sealant is designed for a

Overview
P/S Class B is an conductive lightning strike, corrosion inhibitive sealant. It has a service temperature range from -67 to 250 deg F, with intermittent excursions up to 275 deg F. The cured sealant maintains electrical continuity in a highly torqued fay surfaces for certain aircraft applications. This material acts as an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminum alloys or between dissimilar metals. The cured material is resistant to intermittent exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas. P/S 872 class B is a two-part aluminum filled manganese dioxide cured, polysulfide compound. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
Features & Benefits
Low temperature flexibility at -65°F (-54°C) with no cracking, checking, or loss of adhesion
Corrosion resistance with no loss of adhesion or softening after immersion in salt water
Resistance to hydrocarbons for enhanced durability
Repairable to itself, excellent for both freshly cured and fuel-aged fillets
Outstanding resistance to water, alcohols, petroleum-based and synthetic lubricating oils, and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids
Fungus resistant and non-nutrient
