Per Lycoming Service Instructin 1458C; Any time the connectiong rod bolt and nut is removed from any Lycoming reciprocating engine, both parts must be replaced regardless of apparent condition. This bulletin also requires Loctite 51168 Food Grade Antiseize be used to ensure that Stretch Bolts fall within the specified stretch limits.
