Overview
This dry graphite film lubricant provides a protective coating for precision parts during storage and shipping. It dries in minutes, leaving an attractive black matte finish while preventing rust and corrosion. DGF-123 is a dispersion of micronically fine, pure colloidal synthetic graphite in Fluron®, an exclusive compounded volatile carrier. When sprayed on a clean, dry metal surface, it evaporates quickly, leaving a non-abrasive, friction-reducing film that resists heat up to 3000°F (1649°C). Unlike conventional wet materials, it won’t squeeze out due to tolerances, effectively reducing the coefficient of friction. It can also be used as a parting agent for various chemicals, plastics, and glass. Additionally, DGF-123 is an electrical conductor, making it suitable for use in electric assemblies and their components. Bearing surfaces treated with DGF retain thicker oil films, providing added protection during the initial run-in period.
