Overview
The NI24 and NI29 series are airborne, 3.5 in blade, navigation antennas. These L-band blades use a new concept of antenna design and manufacture, which makes them ideal for commercial and military applications. The radiating element is encapsulated in an epoxy dielectric body by a transfer molding process. This simple, low-cost design has several notable advantages including moisture proof during direct immersion or by extended exposure to high-humidity conditions. Rugged design with encapsulated radiating element and interlocked base and dielectric cover/element assembly features. The antennas have been used with various equipment such as distance-measuring equipment, identification friend or foe, tactical air navigation systems, telemetry and beacon.
