This silver beacon aids in locating submerged aircraft flight recorders. Activated by water immersion, it transmits a 37.5 kHz acoustic signal. The watertight aluminum case withstands depths up to 20,000 ft and pressures up to 8700 psi, with a detection range of 2000 to 4000 yards.
