This non-curing, non-chromate jointing compound provides corrosion inhibition for aluminum alloys and dissimilar metals. It withstands temperatures from -65°F to 240°F, with short-term exposure up to 275°F. The thixotropic paste is compatible with aircraft fuels and can be applied using a brush or spatula.
CA 1000 is a non-curing, non-chromate corrosion inhibitive compound. It has a service temperature range from -65 deg F (-54 deg C) to 240 deg F (116 deg C), with intermittent excursions up to 275 deg F (135 deg C). This material acts as an effective barrier against the common cause of corrosion on aluminum alloys on between dissimilar metals. The compound remains permanently mastic after prolonged exposure to aircrafts fuels, both jet fuel and aviation gas. CA 1000 is a one-part, epoxy capped, Permapol® polysulfide compound. The material is a thixotropic paste suitable for application by brush or spatula.
