Overview
3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8673 (part number 8673-2) is a premium, transparent thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer tape supplied as a 2 in x 36 yd roll. The 14 mil backing provides abrasion, scratch, erosion, tear, puncture and impact resistance. The tape uses a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that offers high peel strength and long-term adhesion while resisting yellowing. It is formulated for long-term resistance to ultraviolet light and can be applied over painted surfaces or painted after application. The tape conforms to curved surfaces and is qualified to numerous aircraft and helicopter specifications for sand and rain erosion protection.
