3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8641 is designed to conform to most surfaces and is fast and easy to apply. It can be painted over or applied to painted surfaces, often referred to as Belly Tape. It provides a high level of protection for aircraft skins and panels, particularly against small foreign object damage (FOD). 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8641 is qualified to numerous military and commercial aircraft specifications for extreme protection from rocks and debris. The pressure-sensitive foam acrylic adhesive adheres immediately on contact to a variety of substrates, providing high, secure adhesion for extended periods. This adhesive maintains its bond through climate and temperature changes and resists yellowing over long-term use. The tape can be easily removed at the end of its service life.
