Overview
Henkel Loctite 242 Series medium strength threadlocker sealant is suitable for use on fasteners up to 3/4 inch diameter. This sealant has a vapor pressure less than 5 millimeters Hg at 27 degrees C, specific gravity of 1.1 at 23.9 degrees C, VOC contents of 0.56%, 6.17 grams per liter and a boiling temperature rating greater than 149 degrees C. It has a flash point greater than 93.3 degrees C TCC for safe use. The mild odored, liquid sealant is blue in color and comes in a 250-milliliter bottle. It has a tensile strength of 110 psi and withstands a temperature range of -65 to 300 degrees F. This product requires 24 hours for curing at 25 degrees C, 10 minutes for drying and 5 minutes for setting.
