Overview

3M™ 847 Series rubber and gasket adhesive sticks with nitrile rubber, neoprene, SBR, butyl, leather, vinyl and various rubbers. This high-performance adhesive offers excellent fuel, oil, heat, moisture and water resistance. The solvent-based adhesive has a relatively lower viscosity for easy application. The sharp solvent odored liquid adhesive is dark brown in color and comes in a 5-ounce tube. It has a boiling point of greater than or equal to 56 degrees C and a flash point of -4 degrees F. The nitrile rubber-based adhesive has viscosity of 1500 to 3200 cP. It withstands temperature range of 60 to 80 degrees F. It has a shear strength of 152 psi at 30 degrees F.
