Introducing the Boeing Distribution unified site

What is the Boeing Distribution unified website?

add

Boeing is working to modernize and integrate our distribution businesses to make it easier for you to do business with us, and to build the foundation for future growth. That’s why we are launching a new Boeing Distribution unified website that combines all of the products and services offered bythe original Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services sites. We will continue to improve the site based on feedback to ensure we are meeting your business needs.

Why is this important?

add

Our goal is to simplify your experience of doing business with Boeing by modernizing the shopping platform and providing visibility to Boeing’s full product catalogue in one place.

When will the Boeing Distribution unified website officially launch?

add

We currently have some customers supporting a pilot launch and we expect to launch the website to all customers in November 2025 and retire the original websites later in 2026.

What do I need to know?

add

  • Websites for Boeing Distribution, Inc. (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services will be retired in 2026.
  • The new unified website offers a comprehensive and expansive catalog.
  • In order to access the new site, customer accounts will need to be migrated (and in some cases consolidated) and credentials will need to be updated.
  • Distribution customers will use Boeing OneLogin IDs to access the unified website.
  • Commercial customers will use Aviation IDs to access the site will replace the original sites.
  • The look and feel of the new Boeing Distribution unified website is similar to the original sites.
  • Customers can visit our Products Updates page to learn more.

Platform features and system integration

What new features can I expect from the Boeing Distribution unified website?

add

You can expect to find all the features you are accustomed to from the existing Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services sites, plus several enhancements. You can visit our Product Updates page to learn more.

I get Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services easily confused. How can I tell them apart?

add

  • Both are part of the Boeing Distribution ecommerce experience; they may handle different types of products.
  • The easiest way to tell which entity you're working with for a specific order is to check the company name/legal entity that appears next to the part that you're searching for. Parts will show either Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) or Boeing Distribution Services.
  • We are working toward a more streamlined experience, and this distinction may become less relevant in the future. We appreciate your patience as we work to simplify our processes.

Why do I have to place separate orders for Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services items?

add

Currently, Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services operate as separate legal entities with different:

  • Customer service teams
  • Invoicing systems · Purchase order processing
    • We're working toward unified ordering, but for now you must:
      • Place separate orders for each entity
      • Manage separate invoices and customer service contact

What about my APIs? Will they still work?

add

Yes, your existing APIs will continue to be active.

General information and customer transition

What happens to my current Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and/or Boeing Distribution Services account?

add

Your current Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services accounts will be migrated to the new system, and you will receive a Boeing OneLogin ID. This login will not replace your existing accounts; rather, it will consolidate access to all three sites — Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall), Boeing Distribution Services, and the new Boeing Distribution unified website — under a single login.

Until the existing sites are decommissioned, you will still have access to all three platforms. This means you can continue to reach the existing sites while also enjoying the benefits of the new Boeing Distribution unified website. The Boeing OneLogin ID will provide you with access to Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall), Boeing Distribution Services, and select data from both platforms, ensuring a seamless transition and improved user experience.

Why do I see different prices for the same product in the unified catalog? Can I purchase the products at the lower price I see on Boeing Distribution Services?

add

Although we have unified the product catalog for Boeing Distribution Services and Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall), they remain two separate business units, hence the different pricing for select products. We are working toward streamlining pricing to provide a singular price for a part regardless of which business unit you are purchasing it from.

Will my order history and saved items be available on the new website?

add

Yes, your order history, saved items, and account details will be transferred to the new Boeing Distribution website.

Account management and login issues

What support options are available?

add

  • Live Chat: Located on the bottom right corner of every page of the Boeing Distribution unified Website (https://shop.boeing.com/distribution), once signed in.

Is it possible to use the original Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services website login credentials on the new unified site, or do users need to change their login?

add

All users are required to transition to a single Boeing OneLogin ID. While usernames (emails) can remain the same, users will need to create a new password for Boeing OneLogin ID. This unified login provides access to the original Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall), Boeing Distribution Services, and the new Boeing Distribution unified site.

What happens if I only have an account with Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) or Boeing Distribution Services? Will I automatically get access to both product lines?

add

If you only have a Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) account, you will see respective pricing and availability. You will also see Boeing Distribution Services materials but must request a Boeing Distribution Services account to access pricing and availability for Boeing Distribution Services products. Account creation is by request, not automatic. The opposite is true too, for users with only a Boeing Distribution Services account.

How does login work for commercial users with Aviation IDs?

add

Commercial users authenticate with their Aviation ID, which is linked to their Boeing OneLogin ID, allowing access to multiple Boeing sites including the Boeing Distribution unified website.

Product information, availability, and ordering

Can I preorder backordered products? Why can't I order items that are out-of-stock like before?

add

Backorder functionality is currently limited. We're working to restore full capabilities - including preordering out-of-stock items, expected availability dates, and automatic fulfillment when stock arrives.

Note: Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services have different capabilities when it comes to preordering backordered products.

  • Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) will continue to support preordering.
  • Boeing Distribution Services has restricted pre-order capability as it is based on certain inventory rules.

Why doesn’t the product I'm searching for appear? Do I need to remove dashes from part numbers (e.g. A-3074) for better results?

add

The onsite search engine is currently being optimized to support common part number formats with dashes, slashes, and other separators automatically. At this time, the search engine may not recognize dashes. To improve search results, try removing the dashes (e.g. A3074 instead of A-3074).

Parts that are available on the original websites aren't showing up on the new Boeing Distribution unified site. Why?

add

We're continuously updating the unified catalog. If you identify missing parts, please report the specific part numbers to our development team for immediate addition by clicking the survey button on https://shop.boeing.com/distribution and filling out the feedback survey. In the meantime, you can use the original sites for urgent orders.

Why do some parts say "available to order" but won't let me add them to my cart?

add

This occurs when:

  • Stock levels change between search and cart addition
  • Location-specific restrictions apply
  • System sync delays between inventory systems.
    • Helpful Hint: Try changing your ship-to location or contact support with the specific part number.

Can I access Commercial Spares on the Boeing Distribution unified site to purchase a part?

add

Currently, you can view commercial Spares parts on the Boeing Distribution unified website when you’re not logged in. However, only the customers with an Aviation ID can purchase these commercial Spares parts. We are working to remove the commercial Spares visibility in the future.

Why can’t I purchase parts from Boeing Distribution Services on the Boeing Distribution unified site?

add

We are aware that not all parts appear on the Boeing Distribution Services unified website today and the team is working on improving the capability to order BDSI parts.

If the item is labeled as a commercial Spares part (e.g., part number AN735-4), it may not be accessible for purchase in your current account setup.

Will manually placed orders in SAP be reflected online for access to paperwork?

add

Yes. All ERP data, including manually placed orders and EDI orders, are pulled into the unified website and available for customers to view invoices, packing slips, and safety data sheets regardless of how the order is entered.

Can I see and select shelf-life information for parts on the unified website?

add

Shelf-life selection functionality is not fully complete but will provide visibility similar to what is currently available on Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services sites by full launch coming soon.

Is the unified search capable of showing parts from both Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services?

add

Yes. The unified search brings information from both business units. Commercial users will eventually have one unified site to search and purchase parts across all units.

Navigation, checkout, and cart management

Is there a way to clear my entire cart without going through checkout?

add

Not currently, but we're adding a "clear cart" button to the cart page for easier cart management.

Shipping, delivery, and invoicing

What business unit will my purchase orders go to and invoices come from?

add

For now, your invoices and purchase orders will continue to be processed by either Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) or Boeing Distribution Services, depending on the specific parts you order.

Will shipping policies stay the same?

add

Yes, we will follow the existing shipping policies.

Business continuity

Can I continue using original sites while testing the unified platform?

add

Yes, the original Boeing Distribution (formerly Aviall) and Boeing Distribution Services sites will remain available during the transition period.
