Zip-Chem D-5920NS Ice release is a special grease specifically formulated to act as a barrier between rubber and metal. Prevents deterioration and squeaking. In regards to the aircraft industry: Coating the rubber insulation (such as cargo doors, passenger doors and radome seals) will prevent the absorption and penetration of moisture which freezes.
