These soft gaskets are often referred to as “crush” washers or gaskets because they are physically deformed and crush into place as the parts are assembled. This characteristic aids in creating a more consistent seal to the fastener's mating surface. Annular copper gaskets are suitable for temperatures up to 500° Fahrenheit and pressure up to 200 PSI. The thickness of the ring is 3/32 Inch. Annular gaskets are made from soft copper, which has been wrapped in a tubular cross section around a fiber non-asbestos core. Part number MS35769-39 also protect the mating parts from vibrations, corrosion & aggressive fluids.
